ESC General Assembly 2026
ESC held the annual online General Assembly meeting on 21st May 2026. We were pleased that 19 of our 38 member organisations with voting rights were represented there.
The Assembly reviewed ESC’s activities over the past year, including 11 contributions to European Commission legislation and the addition of five new member organisations. Members approved the Board’s performance, the 2025 annual accounts and the 2026 budget.
The Assembly also discussed upcoming projects on human rights, EMF measurement, biomarkers and support for people affected by EHS. Four new Board members and four deputies were elected, and the meeting concluded with presentations on EMF exposure from electric cars and high-frequency radiation.

Petition on the European Parliament Petitions Portal
Please support our petition No. 0076/2026
We are calling for every EU citizen to have a guaranteed right to non-digital (analogue) access to essential services. Digitalisation must not result in the exclusion of seniors, people who are sensitive to electromagnetic fields, or those who do not have access to smartphones or the internet.
Digital technology should serve people, not exclude them. If you agree, please support this petition and help us ensure that no one is denied access to essential services simply because they cannot or choose not to use digital technologies.
The petition was submitted in he beginning of 2026 and in June we received the following answer: "I am pleased to inform you that the Committee on Petitions has examined your petition and has declared it admissible, since the matter you raise falls within the European Union’s fields of activity. I have therefore asked the European Commission to conduct a preliminary investigation into the issue. Given the subject matter, I have also referred your petition to the European Parliament’s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO)."
It was signed by the Chair of the Petitions Committee.
