In Memoriam to Andrew Goldsworthy
We received a message from the family of Andrew Goldsworthy that he passed away on the 21st of May after suffering a heart attack at home.
Andrew Goldsworthy graduated with honors in Botany and obtained a PhD from University College of Swansea. He was a lecturer at Imperial College London. He made an important contribution to the understanding of the effects of weak electromagnetic fields on the environment. His research and publications have helped highlight the potential harm of EMFs to plants, animals, and human health, providing a scientific basis for calls for greater caution in the implementation of wireless technologies and environmental protection.
He has been actively involved in the public and scientific debate on the environmental risks of wireless technologies, collaborating with organizations such as Electro-Sensitivity UK and publishing informational materials for the general public and institutions.
Important to mention is his article in 2012 “The Biological Effects of Weak Electromagnetic Fields”, which describes the cellular mechanisms and risks to health and ecosystems from exposure to weak electromagnetic fields.
Although his contribution to the science of the biological impact of weak electromagnetic fields was before ESC came to be, we value his contribution and his cooperation with ES UK.
More specific information from Safe Tech International about the research Andrew Goldsworthy has done, may be found in Memoriam they published.
