The study Bektas et al. (2026) shows that non-thermal exposure to 3.5 GHz RF-EMF disrupts the redox balance and triggers mitochondrial apoptosis in the dorsal root ganglion neurons of mice. This finding demonstrates the vulnerability of peripheral neurons to mid-band exposure.
Effects of 5G radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation on indicators of vitality and DNA integrity of in vitro exposed boar semen🔗
The 2024 University of Zagreb study investigated the effect of 5G RF-EMR on in vitro exposed boar sperm. The highest DNA damage was found at 2500 MHz and 3500 MHz. The 3500 MHz frequency showed the most harmful effects due to significant effects on cell membrane integrity, DNA integrity and sperm vitality indicators.
Summary of seven Swedish case reports on the microwave syndrome associated with 5G radiofrequency radiation🔗
A summary of case reports over a two-year period found that 16 of the study persons developed microwave syndrome or other serious health symptoms after 5G base stations were installed around their homes. Most people were able to move to another home without 5G. Their symptoms were reduced or disappeared.
Dispute over 5G: Health risks from mobile communications?
A look back at the international debate on the 5G standard. A profound insight into the issue of managing the discussion on the risks associated with 5G is provided by Prof. Werner Thiede, adjunct professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and publicist.

Stichting EHS (NL) appeals against auction of 3.5 GHz frequency
In February 2024, the Dutch EHS foundation appealed to the court against the auction of the 3.5 GHz frequency for 5G due to the fact that the 5G rollout violates the UN Convention on Disability and will create additional health risks for vulnerable people, such as those with EHS.
Case studies show 5G is a health danger🔗
During 2023 and January 2024, seven case studies have been published in scientific journals on the health effects of exposure to real 5G radiation from base stations. The studies, probably the first in the world to study the health impacts of real 5G exposure, all show that 5G is harmful to human health.
Strong concerns about current GIA negotiations unite European telecom operators🔗
The EU telecommunications industry is expressing strong concerns about the ongoing negotiations on the "Gigabit Infrastructure Act" regulation and warns of undesirable consequences, if the proposals are implemented in their current form.
Have your say – Data centres
The ESC welcomes the Commission's efforts to develop better regulations for environmental issues in data centre energy efficiency. The rise of digitalisation brings familiar benefits, but also underreported risks.
Argentina’s Ushuaia bans the installation of 5G antennas in the city, joining three other national municipalities🔗
The city of Ushuaia has adopted an ordinance declaring the city a radiation-free zone for 5G and newer mobile technologies.
