Vive la France

France must curb child, teen use of smartphones, social media, says panel🔗

Children under 11 should not have a mobile phone. The use of smartphones with internet access should be banned for children under 13. Social media apps should be banned for all under-15s, and minors over 15 should only access "ethical" platforms, according to a report by an expert panel appointed by the French President.

Seine-Port bans cell phones from public spaces🔗

The people of Seine-Port have decided, in a unique referendum, to restrict the use of mobile phones by residents and visitors in front of schools, on the street and in shops, public places and associations, due to the harmful effects of excessive screen time, especially for children. The activity encourages parents to limit screens at home as well.

French National Agency for Frequencies (ANFR) apparently failed to inform the EU about 42 cell phone models exceeding Specific Absorption Rate threshold. PhoneGate, our partner, has repeatedly contacted the agency for a response, but to no avail. Phonegate is ready to take legal action once again to seek liability of ANFR.
