We lost Michèle Rivasi

We are very sorry that Michèle Rivasi is no longer with us. She died suddenly at the age of 70 on Wednesday 29 of November. Europeans for Safe Connections will always remember her courageous fight for acceptance of health effects of EMFs and her passionate advocacy for recognition of EHS. She was the founder of the Association Zones Blanches with the aim to find safe places to live for people with EHS.

Breaking: Mobile phones banned in Sweden

"We need to focus on real life and that's what school is for,"

says the Swedish Liberal Party leader and Minister Johan Pehrson. The Swedish primary school will be completely mobile-free as soon as possible according to a new agreement in the Parliament. "This is a step forward in an important cultural change," says Pehrson. The government wants this to be the norm in all Swedish schools. Read more here.

 

Not so smart

The European Court rejected the Norwegian complaint on smart meters.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg, France, recently rejected the application from eight Norwegian electro-hypersensitive persons, delivered before the Court in July. Read all about it here.

This group is at the moment raising awareness of the inadequacies and potential risks of the Gigabit Infrastructure Act (GIA) and is lobbying for amendments before it is passed into law. The group is also busy helping members to address local communities to raise their awareness of the GIA issue.

EMF Protection for Children

The group is currently active in the area of the International Declaration on the Human Rights on Children in the Digital Age. Very important project where your help is needed, and the group ask as many as possible to sign the declaration and

  • ask medical professionals, scientific experts, lawyers, child advocates, organizations and individuals to sign.

  • translate and send the declaration to your local politicians, national politicians, relevant authorities and organisations and media.
