Genotoxic and histopathological effects of 6 GHz radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation on rat liver tissue🔗

A 2025 study by Ilgaz et al. showed that exposure of rats to 6 GHz RF-EMR (0.065 W/kg) for 4 hours a day during 42 days resulted in histopathological and DNA changes in liver tissue. The authors stated that their study was the first one to specifically address the genotoxic and histopathological effects of 6 GHz RF-EMR.

Effects of 5G radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation on indicators of vitality and DNA integrity of in vitro exposed boar semen🔗

The 2024 University of Zagreb study investigated the effect of 5G RF-EMR on in vitro exposed boar sperm. The highest DNA damage was found at 2500 MHz and 3500 MHz. The 3500 MHz frequency showed the most harmful effects due to significant effects on cell membrane integrity, DNA integrity and sperm vitality indicators.

Detrimental impact of cell phone radiation on sperm DNA integrity🔗

A 2023 Iranian study concluded that the radiation from mobile phones can cause reduced motility, morphological changes, acrosome disorders, and ultimately, damage to the nucleus and the genetic material due to oxidative stress. The sperm genome damage can lead to infertility and endanger the reproductive health of offspring.
