In February 2024, the Dutch EHS foundation appealed to the court against the auction of the 3.5 GHz frequency for 5G due to the fact that the 5G rollout violates the UN Convention on Disability and will create additional health risks for vulnerable people, such as those with EHS.

Ministers have confirmed that mobile phones will be banned in English schools. Many schools already prohibit phone use during school hours to help students concentrate on their lessons and engage with their friends and teachers. Schools will be able to choose an approach to prohibiting mobile phones which suits them.
