(2026) the male rats exposed to 2.5 GHz radar EMR at an average density of 200 mW/m² for 1 hour daily for 28 days showed acute oxidative stress, leading to a significant effect on fertility. Taurine reversed these adverse effects and was proposed as a protective agent for radars wave-exposed workers.

A 2026 study by M. Nilsson and L. Hardell based on the Swedish registry showed a sharp increase in diagnosed sleep disorders in Sweden. The number of children and adolescent aged 5–19, who were diagnosed with a sleep disorder, increased 17-fold between 2001 and 2024.

A study by Hardell et al. (2025) demonstrated a causal link between radiofrequency radiation from mobile phones and an increase in the incidence of thyroid cancer in women and men. Based on data from the Swedish Cancer Registry, the highest increase in thyroid cancer incidence was observed between 2001 and 2022.

A 2025 study by Xiao et al. on a cohort of 4285 US adolescents found that over a 4-year period, 31.3% had increased social media addiction and 24.6% had increased mobile phone addiction. Buccal mucosa and micronucleated cells collected from both cheeks before and 3 weeks after exposure showed clear evidence of cell cycle disruption and cytotoxicity.

A 2023 Iranian study concluded that the radiation from mobile phones can cause reduced motility, morphological changes, acrosome disorders, and ultimately, damage to the nucleus and the genetic material due to oxidative stress. A 2023 Belgian research suggest that ELF-MF higher than 0.4 µT can increase the risk of developing leukemia in children, probably acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
